Porumbacu de Sus is a village in Sibiu County, situated at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains, at an altitude of 450 m. The location offers a stunning panorama of the mountains, and the area is crossed by the Porumbacu River, which springs from the Negoiu peak area. Just 35 km from Sibiu city, or 47 km from Făgăraș if you're coming from Brașov, the village is easily accessible from the main road via an approximately 6 km paved road.
