Porumbacu de Sus is a village in Sibiu County, located at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains, at an altitude of 450 m. The place offers a superb panoramic view of the mountains, and the area is crossed by the Porumbacu River, which springs from the area of Negoiu Peak. Just 35 km from the city of Sibiu, or 47 km from Făgăraș if you are coming from Brașov, the village is easily accessible from the main road via an approximately 6 km paved road.
