The Story of the Calendar is a theme park in Sibiu County that transforms the calendar into an interactive experience inspired by the legends of the 12 months and Romanian traditions. The concept is based on the idea that each month has its own identity, associated with stories, customs, and old names from folk culture.
The park is designed as a “little town” consisting of 12 themed huts, each representing a month of the year (January, February, March, etc.), and visitors can discover the unique features of each season through specific activities, decorations, and stories.
The experience is designed as a journey into a world of childhood, full of color, imagination, and symbols, where time is “personified” and transformed into an ongoing story. The park combines educational elements with entertainment: children’s shows, playgrounds, themed workshops, and relaxation areas.
The aim of the project is to bring the traditions and significance of the months of the year back into focus, offering visitors a deeper insight into the passage of time and the connection with nature and Romanian folklore. At the same time, the site serves as a recreational space for all ages, where every visit contributes to “writing” one’s own story.
Essentially, “The Story of the Calendar” is a blend of education, culture, and entertainment, presented in a fairy-tale setting.
